Community Council Elections 2019

Renfrewshire Council will be holding elections to fill membership places within each of its Community Councils from 12th August until 13th September 2019.

During this time, existing members of Community Councils stand down but can seek re-election. We hope also to attract new members who have an interest in the local community and can spare just a few hours each month (between September and June) to attend meetings and share their ideas with our other volunteers.

Paisley East & Whitehaugh Community Council covers the following areas:

  • Paisley East
  • Seedhill
  • Whitehaugh
  • Greenlaw
  • Arkleston

Any person who is 16 years of age or over, resident within the Community Council area and listed on the electoral roll is eligible to become a member. However, there are a limited number of membership places available on each Community Council.

Community Councils are not part of local government but aim to provide a forum for local residents to express their concerns and have their say on a wide range of issues affecting their local area. If you are interested in joining us and you require any further information then please contact the current Secretary, Robert Moore for an informal discussion on:

Phone: 07740 982301

Nomination packs can be obtained from the Secretary or the undernoted but must be returned to the address below NO LATER THAN 13th SEPTEMBER 2019:

Anne McNaughton
Senior Committee Services Officer
Renfrewshire Council
Cotton Street,
Paisley PA1 1TR
